Jashad Bhasma
Jasada bhasma (also known as Yashada bhasma) is also indicated in various disorders, namely,
diabetes, anemia, cough, ulcers, depression, ophthalmic problems, and so forth [49–52].
Loha Bhasma
Background: Lauha Bhasma (LB) is a complex herbomineral preparation widely used as an Ayurvedic
hematinic agent. It is an effective remedy for chronic fever (j?r?a jvara), phthisis (k?aya), Breathlessness
(?v?sa) etc.
Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera)
Ashwagandha, or Withania somnifera, is an herb native to Asia and Africa. Also called “Indian ginseng,”
it's been used in traditional Indian Ayurvedic medicine for thousands of years to ease pain and inflammation,
treat insomnia, and boost nutrition, along with other conditions.
Tila Seeds (Sesamum indicum)
Sesamum can be used to treat conditions like weakness, vata disorders, Allergic conditions, hairfall,
wound etc. The hexane extract of Sesamum plant can be used to treat gastric ulcers.
The antioxidant activity of the plant is due to the presence of sesaminol glycosides.
Shigru (Moringa oleifera)
The plant has an impressive range of medicinal uses with high nutritional value.
It is traditionally used in the treatment of various ailments i.e. Visha (poison), Krimi
(wormicidal), Kustha (skin disorders), Kandu (itching) Vata vyadhi, Ashmari (calculi),
Sopha (Inflammation).
Beet root (Beta vulgaris)
The beetroot leaves were recommended by the Father of Medicine “Hippocrates” for faster
healing of wounds [6]. Recent reports indicate that Beta vulgaris extracts (root) possess
antihypertensive, hypoglycemic, antioxidant [7], anti-inflammatory, and hepatoprotective
activities [6, 8–10].
Shatavari (Asparagus racemosus)
People use asparagus racemosus for upset stomach (dyspepsia), constipation, stomach spasms, and
stomach ulcers. It is also used for fluid retention, pain, anxiety, cancer, diarrhea, bronchitis, tuberculosis,
dementia, and diabetes. Some people use it to ease alcohol withdrawal.
Kadira (Acacia catechu)
Khadira can be used to treat diseases like Skin allergic conditions, Itching, Cough, Diabetes,
Worm infestations etc. The plant contains constituents like baicalin and catechins which are
responsible for the anti-inflammatory actions of the plant. The heartwood extracts of the plant
have antitumor activities.
Amalaki (Phyllanthus emblica)
Phyllanthus emblica Linn. (syn. Emblica officinalis), commonly known as Indian gooseberry or amla,
family Euphorbiaceae, is an important herbal drug used in unani (Graceo - arab) and ayurvedic
systems of medicine. The plant is used both as a medicine and as a tonic to build up lost vitality and vigor.
Bilva (Aegle marmelos)
Aegle Marmelos is anti-inflammatory in nature. Its extracts when applied on the exposed area, help to
cure inflammation. Aegle Marmelos leaf juice with honey can prove useful for treating fever. Aegle Marmelos
