About Composition:
Waterhyssop
It is known by the common names water hyssop, waterhyssop, brahmi,
thyme-leafed gratiola, herb of grace, and Indian pennywort.
Vacha
Vacha is a powerful medicinal herb imbued with immense therapeutic qualities, used
extensively in the holistic science of Ayurvedic medicine since the times of Chakara
and Sushruta. It goes with the botanical name Acorus calamus, also known as sweet
flag or Vacha in India.
Ashwagandha
The biologically active chemical constituents of Withania somnifera (WS) include alkaloids
(isopelletierine, anaferine, cuseohygrine, anahygrine, etc.), steroidal lactones (withanolides,
withaferins) and saponins (Mishra, 2000 et al., 2000).
Evolvulus alinoides
Chemical Constituents: Plant contains an alkaloid evolvine; β-sitosterol, stearic, oleic
and linoleic acid, betaine, pentatriacontane and triacotane.
Jyotishmati
Jyotishmati (Celastrus paniculatus Willd.) is a woody climber belongs to the family
Celastraceae; a well known herbal nootropic, distributed through the tropical and
subtropical regions of India. Its leaves are used in eye disease and headache.
Arjuna
Polyphenols, flavonoids, tannins, triterpenoids, saponins, sterols and minerals are the major
constituents of T. arjuna. Such amino acids like tryptophan, tyrosine, histidine and cysteine
are also the main ingredients in T. arjuna.
Bilva
Fruit pulp of A. marmelos comprises of calcium (80 mg), mineral content (1.7%), phosphorous (52 mg),
copper (0.21 mg), potassium (610 mg), and iron (0.60 mg/100 g) [1]. The calorific value of bael fruit
(88 cal/100 g) is higher than that of mango (36 cal/100 g), apple (64 cal/100 g), and guava (59 cal/100 g) [38,40].
Jatamansi
jatamansi root oil by GC and GC-MS. The major compounds identified were patchouli alcohol (0.4-63.7%),
maaliol (2.9-53.8%), seychellene (4.1-27.4%), calarene/ß-gurjunene (3.0-20.8%), α-santalene (0.6-12.0%).
Tagara
